Fail Fast, Fail Often! Creating a Life of Passionate Action

As leaders in the field of career development, Ryan Babineaux and John Krumboltz have talked with thousands of people about their work. This led them to an important discovery: people who are happy and successful spend less time planning and more time acting. They get out into the world and try new things, make mistakes and in so doing benefit from unexpected experiences and opportunities.

Drawing from scholarship in innovation, entrepreneurship and human development, this class will show you how to follow your interests and take action, even though you may be unsure of your career plans, feel stuck in a rut, or be apprehensive of failure. You will learn to:

•    Trust your enthusiasm and allow it to guide you
•    Break free from habitual behaviors and initiate new adventures
•    Act boldly with minimal preparation
•    Leverage your strengths for rapid change

Class sessions will include discussions, demonstrations, videos, and the opportunity to interact with the instructors and work in small groups to form personal action plans. Whether you are a young adult, mid-career professional, or recent retiree, this course will help you live more passionately and be more open to new possibilities.
